In March, ServiceMaster Restoration was contacted by Mr. & Mrs. Warren of Oak Park, IL., after filing a State Farm claim to handle the fire and smoke cleanup in their home. The furnace caught fire while some home improvement renovations were being performed in Mrs. Warren's home. However, as the fire ignited in the furnace, black soot and thick smoke travelled very quickly and forcefully upstairs through the HVAC heating system. The Warrens and their 3 young children moved out of residence to a hotel for several weeks while we took care of the fire and smoke mitigation.
The Warren's fire insurance policy covered the cost for a two week hotel stay for their family. Our goal was to complete the cleanup within the two weeks time.
